Why you might want to join us
If you enjoy playing or singing good music, there is a whole host of reasons you'll enjoy being a member of KEMS. And if you are a
full-time student, membership is absolutely FREE (see below)!
Do you need me?
As with many amateur music societies, applications to join are especially
welcome from male voices in the choir, strings/percussion players in the
orchestra and percussion (kit/mallet) and euphonium players in the concert
band. However, if you are interested and don't fit one of those categories
please do still contact us!
How much does it cost?
The annual membership fee for a single section - Macclesfield Singers, Macclesfield Symphony Orchestra or Macclesfield Concert Band - is £130. If you would like to be a member of two or more sections, the annual fee is £195. Membership of Macclesfield Contemporary Ensemble is at present free.
ARE YOU A FULL-TIME STUDENT?
We are keen to involve more young people in music-making. If you are a full-time
student, membership of KEMS is FREE. It’s a great opportunity to develop your singing or playing skills - and making new
friends with similar interests.
