Welcome to KEMS

Who we are
We’re a music society comprising four sections: Macclesfield Singers (a large mixed-voice choir); Macclesfield Symphony Orchestra; Macclesfield  Concert Band; and Macclesfield Contemporary Ensemble. Our friendly members, who cover a wide age range, have one thing in common: they  take making music very seriously, always striving for the best possible performances while enjoying themselves immensely.
AUDIENCE COVID-19 GUIDANCE

We are aware that society has relaxed immensely in the last few months, and that people are feeling more confident generally since the vaccine roll-out.

However, we do want our concerts to be as safe as is reasonably possible and, for that reason, we would be grateful if you could please wear a face covering when moving around inside the building. You are welcome to remove this when seated. Hand sanitiser will be available on entry.

Unfortunately, we have decided not to serve refreshments in the interval. Those of you who regularly attend our concerts know how congested the serving area becomes.  Please bring your own drink if you think you would like one. You are welcome, of course, to use the interval to stretch your legs, socialise, get some fresh air and use the toilets.

Please sit where you wish.  If you would like to maintain some distance from others not in your own party, please put a coat or bag on the seat beside you.
It goes without saying that we hope no-one will attend if they are feeling unwell on the evening.  For extra reassurance you might wish to do a lateral flow test before attending.
